July 1, 2011

PORTLAND, OR - The newly redesigned Web site of Porter International Designs goes live today on the World Wide Web. PorterIntlDesigns.com aims to better serve Porter International Design's current wholesale customers in the greater Pacific Northwest region. The new Web site features an updated look, expanded menus, a search option, and login accounts for customers.

Easier to Find Content
The site is organized to provide quick and direct access to Porter's current lineup of furniture and home goods. For the first time Porter customers will have the ability to search for exactly the item they're looking for using the "search entire store here" function. Site users have the ability to refine product categories based on attributes such as color, fabric, item type, construction and price range.

Products are now grouped into the following five main categories: Living Room, Dining Room, Bedroom, Accent Pieces and Closeouts. Each category has a dropdown menu of subcategories allowing customers access to the product they're looking for.

New Features
For the first time, pricing and inventory status are now available for logged in wholesale customers.
"My Account" provides logged in customers access to their order history, order status and the ability to update their contact information.
"Furniture Facts" is a great resource for wholesale customers and the public, giving easy-to-understand descriptions of basic furniture construction terms.
"Dealer Locator" lists all of the stores in the region that carry Porter International Designs products.
PorterIntlDesigns.com serves not only wholesale customers but members of the public interested in Porter designs and where to find them.

About Porter International Designs
Porter International Designs started in response to the needs of small to mid-sized retailers striving to compete in the highly competitive container driven retail environment. The company provides the opportunity to join a group of aggressive retailers who pool orders together to source overseas product and flow containers. This system allows the group to avoid the many pitfalls of container buying. In addition, Porter International Designs has no purchase minimums, which allows a retailer of any size to compete with national retailers.

Porter International Designs is experiencing exponential growth and continues to travel to Asia to source the best in container products. The current lineup includes casual dining, motion, upholstery and leather, bedroom suites, and a line of occasional pieces.
